Fendi Presentation

The other day I did a press presentation for Fendi with Raminta and another girl from our agency, Nastia. Most of the time was spent waiting and doing hair and makeup in a freezing cold 'library' then we were in the showroom full of the new line for Fendi to pose with the products.

Outfitters

My second day in Bangkok consisted of a twelve hour photo shoot for Outfitters Clothing. Jet lag and work don't usually mix well but I had a a great team to work with which makes everything easier.

Valentines Day in BKK

It was interesting to see how much Valentine's Day is celebrated here. Honestly, I was hoping for it to not be as big of a deal since it is never fun to be reminded how far I am away from my boyfriend but I couldn't help getting swept up in a bit of fun.

Hot Chocolate Cupcakes

I'm officially all moved out of Victoria. I'm staying at my parent's house for the time being and then will go back to Victoria this weekend for my birthday before I head out to Bangkok. Being back here without the use of a car makes me feel about fifteen years old again. But being stuck inside with a large kitchen at my disposal meant one thing: time to bake some cupcakes.

Shamu and Hollywood

Sea world was conveniently close to us in Mission Beach so how could we pass up a visit to visit Shamu and all the other animals?

San Diego

It was so nice to escape winter for a couple of days with a trip to California with my family. It had been years since we'd all been together at once. Unfortunately my boyfriend couldn't come so I was a bit of a seventh wheel with both of my brother in laws being there, but even so, it was an enjoyable trip.

It's starting again

It's been a while.

As in over three months since I've posted last. As always, my expectations of this blog were higher than what was reasonable. I was trying to recap days and record my whole HK experience which of course failed when my days got busier and I didnt want to sit at my laptop, trying to remember everything I did in the last week and sort it into a comprehensible blog post.

So instead, the blog posts stopped coming.

And once I returned to Canada and got settled into life in Victoria, there wasn't much to blog about. I didn't think people would want to read about how I went to work everyday at the Cactus Club and the various baking and Starbucks dates that happened on my days off. Also, I am horrible at taking pictures when I am at home. Send me somewhere else and I'll take hundreds for you, but at home I'm preoccupied and less inspired.

But, I do have some good news for this blog.

With a trip to San Diego this weekend and my departure for a three month stint in Bangkok come February (followed by two months in Tokyo) I plan to revive this sorry excuse for a blog. The blog will be different this time though. Less writing, more pictures. Less recaps of my week and more simple highlights. If you really have the need to know what I'm doing with my time, go ahead and follow me on Twitter or check out my Facebook photos, you know how many of those there were from HK!
