I had been putting off posting about the show I did for L'officiel Thailand last Friday because I was still hoping some pictures of the show would end up on the internet in places that I could find them. But today I realized I needed to post quickly or I would get behind as I've already done three jobs since this. So I took to google to try to find pictures that would show up for my english search words and I found better. I found this video of the entire event from us models gettings ready, to guests and the shows. It's a five minute long video but if you only want to watch some of it I can be seen getting ready at 1:28 and 1:44. The first show starts at 3:41 with me walking at 4:06 and the second show starts at 4:37 and I make my appearance at 4:54

ELLE FASHION UNCENSORED BY TRESemmé
Lisa Magazine
First magazine editorial from Bangkok! I did the photo shoot for Lisa magazine during my first few days here. While this shoot was no where near my favourite job here, the first magazine in a country is exciting!

Electrolux
Today I had a job with three other models from my agency including my room mate, Olga. The event was a showroom for Electrolux appliances so we were a little confused as to why we were there to do a fashion show. We did take one photo with the CEO and his products but otherwise we walked down a runway twice wearing Louis Vuitton and then we were done!

Gucci Presentation
Monday started at 8am in the Emporium mall in BKK that proceeded to be my home for the next eleven hours with the Gucci store as my main room. Thee presentations were scheduled for the day to showcase the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
Wolf Circus Video
A short and sweet video put together by Jennifer Dickinson from our Wolf Circus shoot. She managed to captured the care free vibe of the shoot in 35 seconds. Watching this video from Bangkok made me miss the west coast scenery at home, even though that was a very cold day to be on the beach! Ah the things we do for fashion.

Wolf Circus
Before I left for Bangkok I had the pleasure of working with a local jewelery designer in Victoria. Fiona Morrison has a line called Wolf Circus that contains some lovely pieces.

Fendi Presentation
The other day I did a press presentation for Fendi with Raminta and another girl from our agency, Nastia. Most of the time was spent waiting and doing hair and makeup in a freezing cold 'library' then we were in the showroom full of the new line for Fendi to pose with the products.

Hot Chocolate Cupcakes
I'm officially all moved out of Victoria. I'm staying at my parent's house for the time being and then will go back to Victoria this weekend for my birthday before I head out to Bangkok. Being back here without the use of a car makes me feel about fifteen years old again. But being stuck inside with a large kitchen at my disposal meant one thing: time to bake some cupcakes.

Shamu and Hollywood
San Diego
It was so nice to escape winter for a couple of days with a trip to California with my family. It had been years since we'd all been together at once. Unfortunately my boyfriend couldn't come so I was a bit of a seventh wheel with both of my brother in laws being there, but even so, it was an enjoyable trip.

It's starting again
It's been a while.
As in over three months since I've posted last. As always, my expectations of this blog were higher than what was reasonable. I was trying to recap days and record my whole HK experience which of course failed when my days got busier and I didnt want to sit at my laptop, trying to remember everything I did in the last week and sort it into a comprehensible blog post.
So instead, the blog posts stopped coming.
And once I returned to Canada and got settled into life in Victoria, there wasn't much to blog about. I didn't think people would want to read about how I went to work everyday at the Cactus Club and the various baking and Starbucks dates that happened on my days off. Also, I am horrible at taking pictures when I am at home. Send me somewhere else and I'll take hundreds for you, but at home I'm preoccupied and less inspired.
But, I do have some good news for this blog.
With a trip to San Diego this weekend and my departure for a three month stint in Bangkok come February (followed by two months in Tokyo) I plan to revive this sorry excuse for a blog. The blog will be different this time though. Less writing, more pictures. Less recaps of my week and more simple highlights. If you really have the need to know what I'm doing with my time, go ahead and follow me on Twitter or check out my Facebook photos, you know how many of those there were from HK!
